FNB eBucks, Clicks and Engen have joined forces to launch a new integrated rewards programme aimed at helping South Africans save more on everyday spending.
The partnership combines banking, fuel and retail rewards into a single ecosystem, allowing qualifying customers to earn benefits across all three brands.
According to FNB, customers who bank with FNB, fill up at Engen and shop at Clicks can now maximise their rewards through one connected programme instead of earning benefits separately.
Bigger Fuel Rewards
One of the biggest benefits of the new partnership is the opportunity for qualifying customers to earn up to R12 per litre back in eBucks when buying fuel at Engen.
This is an increase from the current maximum reward of R8 per litre, provided customers meet the qualifying spending requirements and pay using their eligible FNB Credit, Debit or Fusion cards.
The required monthly spend varies depending on the banking account, starting from R650 for Aspire customers and increasing for premium banking clients.
Helping Households Stretch Their Budgets
The partnership comes as many South African households continue to face financial pressure from rising food prices, fuel costs and inflation.
FNB eBucks CEO Pieter Woodhatch said consumers are increasingly looking for ways to get more value from their everyday purchases.
"Customers want greater value from the purchases they make every month, whether that's fuel, household essentials or managing their finances," he said.
He added that many South Africans already belong to several loyalty programmes, and bringing rewards together into one ecosystem makes it easier for customers to benefit from their regular spending.
The new rewards ecosystem combines:
FNB eBucks.
Clicks ClubCard, with more than 13 million members.
Engen, which operates over 1,000 service stations nationwide.
The companies believe the partnership will make loyalty programmes simpler and more rewarding by linking purchases that many South Africans already make every month.
As the cost of living continues to rise, initiatives that reward everyday spending could provide welcome savings for consumers looking to stretch their household budgets.
Are loyalty programmes helping you save money, or are they no longer worth it?
